Skrine is looking to hire Senior Associate - Corporate M&A
Qualifications:
At least 4 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
Post admission working experience obtained at a corporate or commercial practice of a major commercial law firm in Malaysia is a must.
Experience in an in-house role which involves special expertise or knowledge will be looked upon favourably.
Sound technical knowledge of the law in company law with good analytical skills and able to demonstrate practical application.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
Ability to work independently, have initiative and problem solve creatively.
Motivated to work on high value and high-pressure matters.
Requirements:
Managing the preparation of legal advice to clients and where in cases involving more sophisticated or novel issues, to prepare the first draft of such advice.
Taking a leadership role in managing the transactional process including due diligence process, managing day to day file management, providing strategic updates and actively contributing to discussions both internally and with the client.
Reviewing due diligence reports and less complex transaction documentation prepared by juniors prior to partner review.
Preparing main transactional documents.
Proving guidance to junior members of the team and becoming a source of knowledge and expertise.
Prepared to be involved in business development and client acquisition activities including actively contributing ideas and opportunities.
