  • Acted as the Malaysian counsel for Blackstone in their largest investment in the Asia Pacific region by entering into an agreement to acquire AirTrunk Operating Pty. Ltd. and its group of companies, representing the preeminent data centre platform across the Asia Pacific region, from Macquarie Asset Management and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board
  • Acted as leading counsel for STT GDC in respect of its joint venture in a data centres green field project with one of Malaysia’s market leaders in sustainable cloud and IT infrastructure services.

  • Assisted in Mubadala Capital’s acquisition of P-RelyOn Nutec 2018 A/S and P-Holding RelyOn Nutec A/S which involved indirect acquisition of Malaysian companies.
  • Advised PNB on the issuance of redeemable preference shares in its subsidiary, Ombak Real Estate Sdn. Bhd. to the unit trust funds comprising of Amanah Saham Bumiputera 3- Didik, Amanah Saham Malaysia 2 and Amanah Saham Malaysia.
    Assisted Titan, an independent energy consultant firm based in Netherlands in setting out a Malaysian joint venture entity to provide services as a PETRONAS contractor.
  • Part of the Malaysian due diligence team working with Herbert Smith Freehills Singapore acting for PT Bukalapak.com Tbk Bukalapak, an Indonesian ecommerce major, for its acquisition of a majority stake in iPrice Group, a price comparison platform.
  • Acted for Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (“KWAP”) in the investment in Malaysian startup company, Bateriku (M) Sdn. Bhd as part of KWAP’s Dana Perintis plan.
  • Acted as Malaysian legal counsel to Mitsui & Co., Ltd. in respect of its share acquisition in STATS (UK) Ltd., a global market leader in the field of pipeline repair equipment manufacturing and engineering services. The scope of works includes providing regulatory advice in respect of the acquisition, including advising on regulatory and environmental regime from a Malaysian law perspective and advised Mitsui on any potential implications where the operation of STATS is active in Malaysia.
  • Assisted S7 Holdings in a share sale amounting to 10% of the total equity interest of its subsidiary, S5 Holdings Inc to MYEG Capital for a consideration sum of RM 86.5 million. Represented the client in the negotiation of the transaction as well as preparation of associated deliverables in addition to the share sale agreement.
  • Advised Genting Berhad in their commercial agreements with the third party delivery partners and agreement with the Pahang State Government in facilitating the implementation of infrastructure work along the Genting main road.
  • Acted as main counsel in a cross-border acquisition of telecommunication company, of which the company’s portfolio consists of 108 tower sites in Peninsular Malaysia. The total transaction covers an enterprise value of approximately USD 15.5 million. The scope of works includes conducting a due diligence exercise on the target company, specifically on the existing contracts, required licenses and ultimately ensuring the acquisition is at all times in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the telecommunication industry in Malaysia.
  • Assisted M1 Limited, a subsidiary of Keppel Corporation, in an acquisition of IT infrastructure company via its local subsidiary with an aggregate consideration sum of RM 89 million. The whole of the acquisition consists of three tranches, whereby the client would be minority in tranche one and would become majority in the completion of tranche three.
  • Advised on various matters relating to ship registrations, ship sales, leasing, flagging, charterparties, and advising on maritime structuring.
  • Advised Ping Petroleum on entry into PSC with PETRONAS for development and production of Meranti Cluster in offshore Peninsular Malaysia and A Cluster off the coast of Sarawak, following the award from Malaysia Bid Round 2022. Both PSCs are awarded under the fiscal regime of the new Small Field Asset PSC terms, which encompasses new approach to the fiscal model as well as simplification of the supporting processes.
  • Advised Dana Petroleum on proposed farm-out of an interest in Block 2A PSC, offshore Sarawak, Malaysia via acquisition of Longboat Energy (2A) Limited.
  • Acted for Longboat Energy PLC in respect of its entry into a PSC with PETRONAS and PETRONAS Carigali in respect of Block 2A, Offshore Sarawak Malaysia. Longboat Energy will become the operator with a 36.75% participating interest in the PSC.
  • Advised MAN Energy, a PETRONAS licensee on a restructuring exercise and assisted the client in preparing, revising and finalising the new set of legal documentation.
  • Advised PTTEP HK Offshore Limited on the potential extension of exploration period under the PSC in respect of Block SK410B entered into between PTTEP, PETRONAS, PETRONAS Carigali and Kufpec Malaysia and conditions imposed in respect of gas holding period granted by PETRONAS.
  • Advised ADES International Holding Limited on provision offshore drilling services in the Malaysian- Thailand Joint Development Area prior to the tender involving the provision offshore drilling services within the area of Block B-17-01 in the MTJDA.
  • Advised Vena Energy’s investment in the Malaysian energy sector and had advised Vena Energy in their recent submission of bid for the large scale solar 5 programme.

  • Acted for one of Peninsular Malaysia’s largest road maintenance concessionaire in the drafting, reviews and negotiations for a new federal road maintenance concession to be carried out under performance-based contracting. The entire project shall commence until 2026, which would generate up to RM 456 million revenue.
  • Acted for Malakoff Corporation Berhad in submission of bid for a grant of concession to develop and complete biogas plants for purposes of power generation and solid waste management at selected states.
  • Acting on behalf of DRB HICOM Berhad in a renewable power and energy project with Malakoff Berhad. Drafting and finalising the Power Purchase Agreement, of which commercial period shall last for 25 years and reviewing the documentations for the installation of solar power projects with aggregate capacity of 34.5MW.
